SYNOPSIS FROM GOODREADS

Book 1 of The Sinners on Tour

Five stunning guys, one hot woman, and a feverish romance…

When sexy psychologist Myrna Evans goes on tour with the Sinners to study groupie behavior, every boy in the band tries to seduce her. But the lead guitarist is the only one she wants to get her hands on…

Brian Sinclair has been grappling with a creative block-unable to compose music for months, until he makes love to uninhibited Myrna, and hears exquisite guitar riffs and finger-burning solos in his mind in the midst of their passionate embraces. He grabs a ballpoint pen and composes what will be blockbuster new songs, writing them all over her body and leading to all sorts of sex play…but how is he ever going to convince her that he wants more than just one tour?

The two lovers’ wildly shocking behavior sparks the whole band to new heights of glory…and sin…

MY REVIEW

WARNING: This review HAVE SPOILERS.

Why did I hold myself back from reading this series for so long? *bang her head against the table, imitating THE Eric Sticks*

I’m not into reading books or series about rock stars because, reasons *smile* that being said, I’ve had this series on my TBR (to be read) list for more than a year, and that’s not an exaggeration.

Talking about characters being all the way true to themselves; I admire the fact that each one in this book has a set personality and act accordingly. There are few books that can pull this off like Olivia Cunning did because it’s just not easy to keep tract and make sure that everything fits. One flaw of this was that Myrna was way too much true to herself and annoyed me at the end of the story.

Each member of Sinners was amazing in his own individual way. I definitively had a blast with the way they interacted; even the sexy parts had a funny side to them. They were all a big family, with problems of their own, but no matter what, they had each other’s backs.

Brian is a hopeless romantic and got himself in the heart-broken section of his life, more times that he can count. He blames the situation on Sedric, but the truth is that Brian just wears his heart on his sleeve and falls hard, fast. I’m no Myrna, but I think it’s because he wants his father approval since he was a child and looks for what he didn’t got from his father, from girls. Lucky for him Myrna is all woman.

Myrna a woman after my own heart, even though I’m not like her *laughs* She is a college professor that can take the guys down a notch or two without even trying too hard. I think she is fun to read about over all, especially if you include Eric in the picture. Myrna got the bands seal of approval fast and with love, there is not one of them that wouldn’t fight for her. She is family.

There is not a dull moment in Backstage Pass, not one. If you are not laughing at something, you are pretty engross in what’s going on, or you are using up the battery of your sex toy during the sexy times. And let me assure you, there are a LOT of sexy times in this book.

The writing on this book was just amazing. I felt like I was part of the Sinners family. What stood up to me the most was how at ease I felt when the subjects of bisexuality, menage, BDSM, and others were mentioned during the story. There was no judgment what so ever on any of those topics and, we know that society judges harshly on things they do not approve of, or they don’t understand.

I had one concern though. I wasn’t sure Myrna was going to let go of what douche-bag-piece-of-shit-Jeremy made her believe. As the end of the book grew near, my concern grew bigger. I’m glad the end of Backstage Pass was able to prove me wrong and that she was able to get where she needed to be personally and with Brian.

There is no question about me going on with this series. In fact, I’ve almost finished with it by the time you read this. *big smile* I have to recommend Olivia Cunning’s work because she is truly a joy to read and I can’t get enough, that’s why I will start the next series soon.

One little extra tip. If you can get your hands on the audiobook version of Backstage Pass… *whistle* You will thank me later *wink*
